관세음보살 보문품 3-16, 3-17, 3-18

16.

자비하신     계 율 은                         우 뢰 의                        진동함이요

Merciful   religious precepts are vibrations of  thunder and lightening .    

 

자애로운        마 음 은     미 묘 한     구름이라

Benevolent mind is  a delicate   cloud.

 

감 로 의            법비내려                  번 뇌 의     활활타는

He(she) turns off and removes all the agony's flaring and hot flames

 

뜨 거 운     불꽃들을     모두꺼서              없애느니라

with honey dewed dharma rains.         

 

나쁜일로            소송당해     관 청 에     나가거나

If you come into the court by sued with bad things   

 

무 섭 고     겁이나는           전쟁터에     있을지라도

and even if you are in the frightening and scary battlefield

 

관세음을     생각하고     크게부른    그힘으로

if you are thinking about Kwan-Sae-Eum and call his(her) name out loud,  by that power,

 

원수들이     모 두 다     흩어지고                    물러가리라

your enemies would be scattered and fall back.

 

 

 

17.

미묘하게     중생들을                        가르치는     자비음성

 Delicately teaching to mankinds(sattivas) with merciful voice,

 

인간세상           굽어보는             거룩하신     음성이며

a holy voice looking down to the human world,

 

청정하신                      음성이며     바 다 의     파도같이

a pure and undefiled voice,        

 

언 제 나     새 로 운     진 리 의     음성이며

 an always new truthful voice  like waves of the sea,

 

저세간의             미혹과어둠                        초 월 한            음성이니

 a transcendent voice of that world's    confusion and darkness,

 

그러므로     모름지기      항상부르고     생각하여

therefore    always call it and think of it,

 

잠깐사이                      한순간도             의심하지     말지니라

so, do not doubt it even for a little while and for a moment.

 

 

 

18.

관세음은                   거룩하고     청 정 한                   성인이기에

Kwan-Sae-Eum is  a   holy,        pure and undefiled     Saint,

 

고통과번뇌             죽음과질병              불행한운을     당할때에

so, when you get an unfortunate luck such as pain, agony, death and illness,

 

능히믿고      따 르 며        의지할바     되느니라

then you could believe, follow and rely on him(her).

 

일 체 의         모든공덕       두 루 다       갖추시고

He(she) equips every bit of all virtues around,  

 

자비하신        눈 으 로     중생들을                       보살피시는

takes care of mankinds(sattivas) with merciful eyes,

 

관세음의                 크신공덕        바다처럼     한량없나니

and Kwan-Sae-Eum's    big virtue is limitless like the sea

 

마 땅 히      머리숙여     공경하고     예배하여라

so, we ought to bow in  honor  and worship him(her).
