Yawning is opening your mouth involuntarily while taking a long, deep breath. It is usually a response to drowsiness, fatigue, or boredom. Excessive yawining occurs when yawning happens more often than is typical.
Everyone yawns at all ages. It is normal to yawn when someone else yawns.
모든 연령대에서 하품을합니다. 다른 사람이 하품 할 때 하품하는 것이 일반적입니다
Most mammals and some birds and reptiles yawn. The action is not very well understood, probably because it is rarely a health problem. It is known that the hypothalamus, in the brain, plays an important role in yawning. Research has revealed that several neurotransmitters increase yawning when they are injected into an animal's hyphothalamus.
One theory regarding yawning is that we yawn to get rid of extra carbon dioxide and to take in more oxygen. When people are bored or tired, they breathe more slowly, and less oxygen makes it into the lungs. Theoretically, as carbon dioxide builds up in the blood, the person yawns to take a deep breath and let in more oxygen. However, some research has shown that there is no relationship between breathing and yawning.
It has also been proposed that yawning and stretching are related. They both increase blood pressure and heart rate and flex muscles and joints. You may have observed that the stretching of jaw and face muscles is needed for a "good" yawn.
Sometimes, excessive yawning happens as a result of vasovagal reaction, which is the action of the vagus nerve on your blood vessels. This can be a sign of a heart problem. You should contact a medical professional if you experience unexplained, excessive yawning or you yawn frequently and are extremely sleepy during the day.
The average yawn lasts about 6 seconds. Yawns in males may last longer that those in females.
The earliest occurrence of a yawn happens at about 11 weeks after conception, before the baby is born.
Human beings start yawning in response to other people's yawns between the ages of 1 and 2.
